The Church of the Assumption is a Roman Catholic church within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Established following the founding of George Town in 1786, it is the third oldest Catholic church in Malaysia.[1] The church was also the seat of the bishop of Penang from 1955 to 2003.
