Citrus County is a county located on the northwest central coast of the U.S. state of Florida. As of the 2020 census, the population was 153,843.[1] Its county seat is Inverness,[2] and its largest community is Homosassa Springs.

Citrus County comprises the Homosassa Springs, Florida Metropolitan Statistical Area.[3]
