Claire Darke is a British politician who served as the Mayor of Wolverhampton, holding the distinction of being the longest continuously serving female Mayor in the city's history.[1] First elected in 2008 as a Liberal Democrat before switching to the Labour Party in 2011, she currently serves as an Independent councillor for Park Ward having resigned from the Labour Party in 2024.[2][3]
