Dame Cleo Laine, Lady Dankworth DBE (born Clementine Dinah Hitching; 28 October 1927) is an English singer and actress known for her scat singing.[1] She is the widow of jazz composer and musician Sir John Dankworth and the mother of bassist Alec Dankworth and singer Jacqui Dankworth.
