Command information newspaper

A command information newspaper is any unofficial written publication directly funded by the United States Department of Defense.[1] Editorial views expressed in command information newspapers may not necessarily be those of the United States government, or the Department of Defense.[2]

Since October 2008, the Defense Department has changed the way information is distributed to service members and their families, unifying the publication of command information newspapers with command information websites.[3]
