The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force (Russian: Главнокомандующий ВВС, romanized: Glavnokomanduyushchiy VVS) is the chief commanding authority of the Russian Air Force. He is appointed by the President of Russia. The position dates to the Russian Revolution in 1917.
