Cydippe, also called Crybia or Lysippe,[4] the daughter of the nymphHegetoria and Ochimus, king of Rhodes. She married her paternal uncle, Cercaphus, who inherited the island.[5] According to an alternate version, Ochimus engaged Cydippe to Ocridion but Cercaphus loved her and kidnapped her. He did not return until Ochimus was old.[6] Cydippe was by Cercaphus the mother of Cameirus, Ialysus, and Lindes. Each of them founded a town in Rhodes and named it after himself.[7]
