Daan District[2][3][4][5][6] (or Da-an District, Da'an[7] District) is an important political, educational, commercial, residential and cultural district of Taipei, Taiwan. The name of the district means "great safety" or "great peace". Located in Northern Taiwan, it is known for having one of the highest real estate prices in Taipei and Asia in general.

Daan District, located to the south of downtown Taipei City, is the most populous administrative district in Taipei City. The name "Daan" comes from its former name, Daan Village.
