Dalmatovsky District (Russian: Далма́товский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the twenty-four in Kurgan Oblast, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,530 square kilometers (1,360 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the town of Dalmatovo.[1] Population: 29,476 (2010 Census);[3] 35,176 (2002 Census);[6] 39,785 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of Dalmatovo accounts for 47.2% of the district's total population.[3]
