Damaturu is a Local Government Area and the capital city of Yobe State in northern Nigeria.[2] It is the headquarters of the Damaturu Emirate.[3]
Damaturu state is capital and administrative headquarter of Yobe State and where the governor resides and host to State Government Ministry, Department and Agency.
Damaturu host three tertiary institutions Federal Polytechnic Damaturu, Yobe State University and College of Nursing
