Daniel Marc Snyder (born November 23, 1964) is an American businessman and former owner of the Washington Commanders, an American football franchise belonging to the National Football League (NFL). He bought the team, then known as the Redskins, from the estate of Jack Kent Cooke in 1999. Snyder is widely considered one of the worst owners in the history of professional sports, with the team managing only six playoff appearances and two playoff wins during his 24 years of ownership.

Snyder's ownership of the team was marred by the enablement of a toxic workplace culture, as well as financial improprieties such as withholding security deposits from season ticket holders and paying hush money to accusers. Growing pressure from other NFL owners, amid investigations by the U.S. Congress and other government agencies, led him to sell the team to an investment group headed by Josh Harris for $6.05 billion, the largest transaction ever for a sports franchise. Snyder has resided in London since the early 2020s.
