Darul Huda Islamic University Main Block

Darul Huda Islamic University is an unaccredited private Islamic university in Malappuram district, Kerala, India .[2] It is equivalent to an unaided and non-affiliated Indian madrasa.[3][2] Established in 1986[4] it is a Sunni institution for the training of Islamic scholars in India.[5][6] It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programs.[7]

From 2009, it has claimed the status of a private Islamic university;[8] and from 2010 it has been affiliated to the League of Islamic Universities, Cairo, Egypt.[9][5] However the UGC, India's only official body with the power to accredit universities, does not list it as a university.[10]
