Madagamagamage Dasun Shanaka (born 9 September 1991) is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer and former limited overs captain of the Sri Lankan cricket team.[2] An all-rounder, Shanaka is a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium fast bowler.

In 2019, he captained the Twenty20 International (T20I) side against Pakistan, with Sri Lanka whitewashing Pakistan 3–0 in the series under his captaincy.[3] In February 2021, ahead of their tour of the West Indies, Shanaka was formally appointed as Sri Lanka's T20I captain, replacing Lasith Malinga.[4] In July 2021, Shanaka was also named as the captain of Sri Lanka's One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against India.[5] Shanaka led Sri Lanka to win the 2022 Asia Cup, the six title the team won.
