"Democracy Dies in Darkness" is the official slogan of the American newspaper The Washington Post, adopted in 2017. The slogan was introduced on the newspaper's website on February 22, 2017,[1] and was added to print copies a week later.[2] Upon its announcement, the slogan generated significant reaction – both positive and negative – from other news organizations and various media figures.
