Dewayne Alexander is an American college football coach. He is the offensive line coach for Sewanee: The University of the South, a position he has needed since 2024.[citation needed] He was the head football coach at Tennessee Tech, a position he held from 2018 to 2023. Prior to Tennessee Tech, Alexander served as head football coach at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, where he compiled a record of 41–33. Alexander played college football at Tennessee Tech from 1985 to 1987. He was named head football coach at Tennessee Tech on December 22, 2017.[1][2][3][4] Alexander was fired from Tennessee Tech on November 21, 2023 after 6 seasons.[5]
