Dewi Remaja is a beauty pageant and reality television show in which a number of aspiring Malaysian women compete for the title of "Dewi Remaja" and the opportunity to start a career in the modelling or acting industry based in Malaysia. Created and organized by the Remaja magazine owned by the Kumpulan Media Karangkraf Sdn. Bhd (now known as Nu Ideaktif Sdn. Bhd) while Astro television is the main broadcaster of the contest. Since its establishment in 1985, the pageant have crowned 11 winners. The winner is crowned by the previous edition's titleholder.[1]
The reigning Dewi Remaja is Nurel Bahrin from Kuching, Sarawak.[2] She was crowned on 29 November 2023 at CIDB Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur by the outgoing titleholder, Tracie Sinidol of Sabah.[3] She is the first Sarawakian and the second woman from East Malaysia to ever win the title of Dewi Remaja.[4]
