Diepsloot (/ˈdpslʊərt/ DEEP-sloort),[2] Afrikaans for "deep ditch", is a densely populated township in Gauteng, South Africa. It is located in the Region A of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. There are high levels of crimes here including illegal electricity connections and theft.[3]
