JioStar, formerly known as (Star TV, Star India, and Disney Star) registered as Star India Private Limited is an Indian media conglomerate joint venture. Reliance Industries owns 16.34%, Viacom18 holds 46.82% of the joint venture, while Disney India retains 36.84%.[1][2] In November 2024, assets of Viacom18 merged with Disney Star, to form JioStar.[3] It is the largest television and entertainment network in India and operates more than 100 TV channels and it owns two major streaming platforms Disney+ Hotstar and JioCinema.
