Diveyevsky District (Russian: Диве́евский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the forty in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Russia.[1] Municipally, it is incorporated as Diveyevsky Municipal District.[3] It is located in the south of the oblast. The area of the district is 844.8 square kilometers (326.2 sq mi).[1] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Diveyevo.[1] Population: 16,618 (2010 Census);[2] 17,848 (2002 Census);[5] 18,375 (1989 Soviet census).[6] The population of Diveyevo accounts for 38.6% of the district's total population.[2]
