Dorzhi Banzarov[a] (Buryat: Банзарай Доржо; Russian: Доржи́ Банза́ров, Russian pronunciation: [dɐrˈʐi bənzˈarɐv] c. 1822–1855) was a Buryat Orientalist and linguist. He is generally considered to be the first Buryat academic.[1]
