Downtown Gallery

The Downtown Gallery was the first commercial art gallery established in 1926 by Edith Halpert in Greenwich Village, New York City, United States.[1] At the time it was founded, it was the only New York gallery dedicated exclusively to contemporary American art by living artists.[2]
