A Place Under the Sun (Nepali: सुर्य मुनि एक ठाउँ) is a 2024 Nepali Crime Drama film, written and directed by Jason Lopchan under the banner of 1 Squad Films Pvt. Ltd.[1] The film stars Min Ghalan, Meera Gurung, Biplov Gauli, Amshu Sharma, Prajan Poudel, Prabesh MC and Riden Shrestha.[2]
The film is entirely shot on Iphone 14 Pro Max and is the first ever Nepali film to do so. The film is produced by 1 Squad Films and co-produced by Umesh Khadka. A Place Under the Sun is written, directed and edited by Jason Lopchan. Prabin Limbu serves as the direction of photography. [3][4]
The film received praised for its unorthodox storytelling, striking cinematography, and strong performances from the cast, though some criticism were aimed towards extremely long takes and sound design. [5][6][7]
The film's trailer was official released on OSR Digital and the film on Amazon Prime Video. [8][9][10][11]
