Antoine Tayar is a Canadian public official.[1] of Lebanese descent.[2] He was elected as Municipal Councilor in the Town of Mount Royal, Quebec, in the 2021 municipal elections.[3] He is currently the acting mayor of the town.[4] In this role, Tayar oversees local governance, works on policy initiatives, and engages with community stakeholders.[5] His responsibilities include representing the interests of residents, participating in municipal decision-making, considering residents' demands, grievances, and proposals, putting them forward to the city council, and collaborating with provincial authorities to address the town's needs.[6]
