Charlie Wall-Andrews is an Assistant Professor, Creative Industries at Toronto Metropolitan University and Executive Director of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada (SOCAN) Foundation. A music creator by training, Wall-Andrews is a prominent figure in Canada's cultural and creative industries, known for her leadership in advocating for diversity, equity, and inclusion within the arts, having written many articles and papers on the topic. In her role at SOCAN, she has developed the Her Music Awards, the Equity X Production Program, the Creative Entrepreneur Incubator, and the Indigenous Music Residentcy Program.^{[1] [2] [3] [4]} She also has an extensive background in nonprofit management, education, and advocacy.^[5]

Wall-Andrews holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Toronto Metropolitan University, a Master of Arts in Ethnomusicology from York University, and an MBA from the Ivey Business School. She was awarded the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Scholarship, one of Canada's most prestigious scholarships in order to research equity creation in settings that are highly inequitable.^[6][7]

Wall-Andrews is an Edmund de Rothschild Foundation Legacy Fellow, Vice-Chair of Music Canada's Advisory Council, and currently serving a four-year term on the Board of the Canada Council for the Arts.^[8] She is a Corporate Knights' Top 30 Under 30 and Top 100 Canada's Most Powerful Women awards recipient.^[9] In 2024, Wall-Andrews was listed as part of Billboard Canada's inaugural Honorary Women in Music honourees.^[10] She was also one of the judges for the 2024 National CBC Searchlight Competition.^[11]
