Christian Erik Sandrock is an American-Swiss physician and medical director who specializes in emerging infectious diseases,[1] pulmonology, outbreak management, sepsis, and critical care.[2] He currently serves as Director of Critical Care at UC Davis Medical Center and as a tenured professor of medicine at University of California, Davis.[2][3] He often provides an expert opinion on Avian influenza,[4][5] SARS-CoV-1, and SARS-CoV-2 to various new outlets and journals, including CNN, HuffPost, Newsweek, and FOX40.[6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14] He is also a former California environmental health officer.[15]
