Jinying Wang (1946—), whose real name is Ren-Hsin Wang and whose early-stage name was Chin-Ying Wang, Kitten, is an outstanding actress in the Taiwanese opera as a female lead. She has starred in TV dramas on various wireless television stations (Taiwan Television, China Television, and later Da Ai Television, Formosa Television). Her opera appearance is sweet, and her figure performance is soft. She is known for her roles opposite Liu Ching, Li-Hua Yang, Hsiang-Lien Huang, Chun-Mei Kuo, Ru-Ling Li, Mei-Yun Tang, Ya-Fen Hsu, Xiaomi, etc. In 2020, the Ministry of Culture designated Jinying Wang an “important preserver of traditional performing arts - Taiwanese opera” - A national treasure artist (a living national treasure).
