Lorenzo Iosco (full name Lorenzo Antonio Iosco), born in Potenza (Basilicata) and raised in Terranuova Bracciolini (Tuscany)[1] is an Italian clarinettist and conductor [2]. He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra and a former member of the London Symphony Orchestra[3][4]
In 2020, he became the first professional musician in Hong Kong to contract COVID-19.[5] Due to strict health measures, the entire Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra was required to quarantine for 14 days. Lorenzo recovered from the disease after spending 21 days in the hospital.[6]
In 2021 with his "Ensemble Ubertini"[7] together with Italian actor David Riondino, created the show 'Le Cosmidantiche'[8], a journey through Dante’s tradition from a different and unique perspective.
