Militia Vox is an American multi-disciplinary artist from New York, NY. She is most known as an alternative metal and alternative rock singer, songwriter, composer, musician and producer. She also is a host, visual artist, actress, director, composer, immersive[1] experience creator and author[2]. Her debut solo album Bait was released in 2014, a 3 song e.p. titled Isosceles in 2016, and her full length album The Villainess[3] was released in 2018. She has released multiple singles and collaborations. Vox is often dubbed "The Rock Goddess" of the Afropunk movement[4] and "The Metal Goddess[5]" for being lead singer of all-female heavy metal tribute band, Judas Priestess. In 2022, Vox was a featured lead vocalist with Judas Priest singer, Rob Halford (aka "The Metal God"), on the Bad Penny single "Push Comes to Shove." The song reached #23[6] on the iTunes Rock Chart. Vox is the only singer to have recorded a duet with the artist they have tributed.[7] She is noted for powerful voice[8], wide vocal range[9] and commanding stage presence.[10]
