Pierre de Saint Roman was a French officer and aviator, born on December 23, 1891 in Toul (Meurthe-et-Moselle), who disappeared in the South Atlantic, off the coasts of Brazil, on May 6, 1927. He made the first crossing of the South Atlantic by airplane, disappearing during the attempt, with his two companions in May 1927,[2] after having succeded in all likelihood.
