In baseball, Froom was recognized as one of the top pitchers in the Twin Cities Metro area during his senior year, posting a 0.77 earned run average (ERA) with 42 strikeouts in 27⅓ innings. He also excelled offensively, batting .429 and earning a spot on the Metro West All-Star Team. His high school accolades include multiple all-conference selections, team MVP honors during his junior and senior seasons, and all-state selection in his senior year.[1]
College Career

During his tenure, he earned Summit League Honor Roll recognition in 2015 and was named Summit League Pitcher of the Week twice in 2017. Froom's college career was temporarily interrupted due to injury, and he underwent Tommy John Surgery in May of 2017, leading him to sit out the 2018 season. He made a notable comeback in 2019, returning to the mound after a two-year hiatus.[2] [3] In his 2018 season he obtained a win against Mizzou, one of SDSU's only baseball wins against SEC opponents.

After his collegiate career, Froom signed a professional contract with the Sioux Falls Canaries of the American Association in 2019. He appeared in 14 games, starting four, and recorded a 4.11 ERA over 30⅔ innings pitched.[4]
