Spell chess is a chess variant created in 2023. Standard rules of chess apply, but players can now cast spells. The objective of each player is to either checkmate or capture their opponent's king. The variant was created in a partnership between Chess.com and Supercell.^[1]

This article uses algebraic notation to describe chess moves.
