Stanislav Issaev is a Russian ballet teacher and former Principal Dancer with the Moscow Classical Ballet.[1] He was born in 1957,[1] and studied at the Perm school of ballet.[2][3] He toured internationally with Moscow Classical Ballet before the fall of the USSR[4][5][6][7]
Issaev was a frequent partner of Bolshoi Ballet prima ballerina Ekaterina Maximova[1] during his career. He appeared as a celebrity judge on the NBC show "Superstars of Dance" in 2009.[8]
Issaev led the dance program at the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities from 2001 to 2013,[9] before going on to be the master men's ballet teacher at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, DC in 2014. He currently teaches at the CityDance Conservatory at Strathmore, in Washington, DC.[3][10]
