EXPO CHICAGO is an international contemporary and modern art exhibition held each year in Chicago, Illinois. In 2012, it subsumed the role of Art Chicago, which was Chicago's longest-running major contemporary art exposition,[1] running from 1980 until its cancelation after the 2011 fair due to financial problems.[2]
Subsequently, the group under the name EXPO CHICAGO, decided to revitalize the annual International Exposition of Contemporary & Modern Art at Navy Pier.[3][4]
in July 2023, it was announced EXPO CHICAGO has been acquired by the London-headquartered art fair, Frieze.[5]
