Eileen Mary Guppy MBE (24 May 1903 – 8 March 1980) was a British geologist, petrologist, and analytical chemist.[1] She was the first female geologist appointed to the scientific staff of the British Geological Survey and, following her retirement, she was the first woman to be awarded an MBE by the Order of the British Empire[1] in 1966 for her 39 years of contribution.
