Ella Habiba Shohat (Hebrew: אלה חביבה שוחט; Arabic: إيلا حبيبة شوحيط) is an Iraqi-born Israeli-American professor of cultural studies at New York University,[1] where she teaches in the departments of Art & Public Policy and Middle Eastern & Islamic Studies.[2] She has written and lectured on the topics of Eurocentrism, orientalism, post-colonialism, trans-nationalism, diasporic cultures,[2] and Iraqi-Jewish culture.[3][4]
