Engine were a British boogie rock band formed in July 1979 in Birkenhead, near Liverpool, England.[3]

They had a three-piece line-up throughout their career, featuring Pete Wade ('Wad') on vocals and guitar, Roy Hughes ('Yozzer') on bass guitar and backing vocals and Dave Cornes ('Ape') on drums.[1]
