The England national rugby league team represents England in international rugby league since the first international match in 1904. It is controlled by the Rugby Football League (RFL), the governing body for rugby league in England, and participated in the Rugby League World Cup and other test matches.[1]
The England national team is the worlds oldest national rugby league team, having played the first international rugby league game in 1904 against Other Nationalities,[a] a team initially made up of Welsh and Scottish players.[2]
England have made the Rugby League World Cup final three times, being runners-up; in 1975, 1995 and 2017.
Shaun Wane is the head coach, and George Williams the captain.
