Ephraim Omorose Ibukun Akpata (15 April 1927 – 8 January 2000) was a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and the first chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of Nigeria, responsible for the 1998/1999 elections that re-introduced democracy in May 1999.[1]
