Eugeneodus is an extinct genus of eugeneodontid holocephalian from the Carboniferous of North America,[1] specifically the Staunton Formation of Indiana.[2] A single species, E. richardsoni, is described, and both the genus and species name honor Eugene S. Richardson Jr. It is the type genus of the order Eugeneodontida.[3]
