Eulipotyphla (/ˌjlɪpˈtɪflə/, from eu- + Lipotyphla; sometimes called true insectivores[1]) is an order of mammals comprising the Erinaceidae (hedgehogs and gymnures); Solenodonstidae (solenodons); Talpidae (moles, shrew-like moles and desmans); and Soricidae (true shrews) families.
