The European Trotting Union also known by its acronym, UET for Union Europeenne du Trot is the governing body of European trotting. The federations main purpose "is the promotion of trotting races and horse breeding in Europe as well as their integrity and prestige in the world".[1] Its headquarters are in the country of the General Secretariat and the federation's current president is Marjaana Alaviuhkola. UET has 18 member associations.[2]
