"False Prophet" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, the second track on his 39th studio album, Rough and Rowdy Ways (2020). It was released as the album's third and final single on May 8, 2020, through Columbia Records.[4][5] The music is based on Billy "The Kid" Emerson's 1954 Sun Records single "If Lovin' Is Believin'".[6][7]
