Ferns (Irish: Fearna, short for Fearna Mór Maedhóg)[8] is a historic town in north County Wexford, Ireland. It is 11 km (7 mi) north of Enniscorthy. The remains of Ferns Castle are in the centre of the town. The town is in a civil parish of the same name.[8]
