Francis Augustus Cox (1783–1853) was a prominent English Baptist minister. He began preaching in his teens,[2] before training, and was then a minister for over forty years in Hackney.[3]

Cox was an active supporter of the formation of the University of London. He published numerous articles including a book of women's biographies and a history of the Baptist Missionary Society.[2]
