Francis Ford Coppola (born April 7, 1939) is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and film composer whose career spans more than sixty years. Coppola has directed twenty-three feature films to date.
His films The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and Apocalypse Now are often cited among the greatest films ever made.[1]
Coppola has, since 2000, issued new versions of several of his films, including Apocalypse Now: Redux (2001), The Outsiders: The Complete Novel (2005), The Cotton Club: Encore (2017), Apocalypse Now Final Cut (2019), and The Godfather Coda: The Death of Michael Corleone (2020), among others.[2]
