Frederick Krug (December 22, 1833 – November 18, 1919)[1] was the German-immigrant founder of the Frederick Krug Brewing Company of Omaha, Nebraska.[2] Krug is often cited as one of the early settlers of Omaha.[3] In addition to operating the brewery for almost the entire duration of his life, Krug operated Krug Park in the Benson community and was the president of the Home Fire Insurance Company, which was founded in Omaha in 1884.[4]
