The Frelinghuysen family (/ˈfrlɪŋˌhsən/;[2] /ˈfrlɪŋˌhzən/;[3] /ˌfrlɪŋˈhsən/[4]) is an American political dynasty, primarily based in New Jersey, that first emigrated from The Netherlands in 1720.
