GAC Motor (Chinese : 广汽乘用车 ;[ 3] short for Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor Co., Ltd. [ 4] ), sometimes simply as GAC ,[ 5] is a Chinese[ 6] automobile manufacturing company [ 7] founded in 2008,[ 8] with headquarters in Guangzhou .[ 9] Wholly owned by GAC Group ,[ 10] it focuses on making complete vehicles, auto parts and their trading.[ 11]
GAC Motor made its first foray into overseas markets in 2013.[ 12] As of November 2021, it has entered the markets of the Middle East , Europe , Latin America , Asia and Africa .[ 13] In addition, the company set up exclusive distributors in several countries .[ 14] [ 15]
