Galatina (Griko: Ας Πέτρο, romanized: As Pètro; Salentino: San Pietru), known before the unification of Italy as San Pietro in Galatina,[3] is a town and comune in the Province of Lecce in Apulia, southern Italy. It is situated about 21 kilometres (13 mi) south of the city of Lecce.
