Gator is a 1976 American action comedy film and a sequel to White Lightning starring and directed by Burt Reynolds in his directorial debut.[3]

The film is primarily set in Georgia. In the film, an ex-convict is blackmailed into working for a federal agent. He is tasked with investigating the operations of a local crime boss, who used to be the ex-convict's friend. The ex-convict is disgusted when he finds out that his former buddy is profiting from child prostitution, motivating him to destroy the buddy's criminal empire.
